That's me and my family!

The memories we make with our family are forever.

They're only this little

for a short time

Childhood moves much faster than we ever expect

You’re standing in the kitchen one day, looking at your child, and suddenly you realise how much they’ve changed.

The baby you once carried everywhere is now running through the house.

Those tiny fingers have become long hands. The little voice that once mispronounced everything has changed. The cuddles are different. Their personality is bigger. They’re becoming their own person.

And you think,

Where did the time go?

Every stage of childhood is worth remmebering

From those first smiles to teenage personalities, each chapter brings something you’ll want to remember.

Because when you’re in the middle of it — the sleepless nights, the school runs, the messy bedrooms, the endless activities and the chaos of everyday family life — it can feel like these moments will last forever.

But they don’t.

They move from babies, to toddlers, to little kids, to teenagers and then, somehow, they’re young adults standing beside you.

That’s why I believe photographs are so much more than something beautiful to hang on a wall.

A photograph can take you right back

It preserves the little details, connections and emotions that become harder to remember as the years pass,

Back to the way their little hand felt in yours. The gap in their teeth. The curls you spent years brushing. The way they looked at their siblings. The face they made when they laughed. The person they were before they grew into the person they are today.

Meet the Photographer

Hey, I'm Penny,

"a photographer of people and places"

That is what I proudly proclaimed when I was 11 years old.

I had no idea then just how much those words would come to mean to me. Now, as a mum of three teenagers — two of whom are now adults — I have a very different understanding of just how quickly childhood passes. And if there’s one thing I wish I could tell every parent, it’s this: don’t wait for the perfect moment to have your photos taken.

I also know what it’s like to want to wait. To think you need to lose a little weight, look better, find the perfect age, or wait until the kids will behave and smile for the camera. I did that too. But looking back at our photographs now, none of that matters. What I see is us — the way my children looked at me, the connection between them, the love, the chaos, the personalities and all the beautiful little things I thought I needed to wait for. And I’m incredibly grateful I’m in those photographs. In fact, I look back now and wish I could look like that again.

You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to be there.

My approach

If you’re looking for family photos that feel natural, relaxed and completely you, I’d love to photograph your family.

My sessions are fun, light-hearted and easy-going — because I want you to enjoy the experience just as much as you love the photographs. Whether we’re at your home or out on location, I’ll gently guide you while giving your family plenty of space to simply be yourselves.

My style is light, bright and timeless, with a focus on capturing the real connections, personalities and little moments that make your family yours.
