What to expect from your session

When you come on a photoshoot with me, we will most likely be on location, so whether that be the beach, the bush, your home or another favourite spot that means something to you, I will be able to capture some precious memories for you to remember for years to come.

Pets are more than welcome to come along to be included in your family session but I do request that they are kept under control for safety reasons.

If you have young children, I also suggest that they have been fed beforehand so they are ok to last for the duration of the shoot. Having snacks and water on hand is a good idea.

My approach is relaxed and I like to capture people (especially kids) just doing their thing as well as having some more posed photos that bring out the connections between each family member. If we can, and if the location permits, I like to try several different spots for variety. I also like to think of my sessions as an outing or an adventure for your family and I capture the special memories for you along the way.

My favourite time to photograph is in the afternoons during golden hour because the light is soft, warm and perfect for shooting in.

What to wear:

When deciding what everyone is going to wear, I usually suggest that you have a neutral base colour and 2- 3 colours that everyone is likely to have in their wardrobe so that you can mix and match so everyone can coordinate nicely. Comfortable clothing will make your session a lot more relaxed and happy.
